By car

From the south you take the A27 motorway from Venice towards Belluno. From the north you come via the Brenner Pass and the Puster valley to Cortina d’Ampezzo, or via the A22/A27 towards Belluno.

  • From the south via Longarone: the main access is the SP 251 road from the Piave valley near Longarone through the Maè gorge. Fastest via the A27 Venice–Belluno.
  • From the north via Passo Cibiana: from Cadore (Venas) over the pass to Dont.
  • From the west via Passo Staulanza: from Val Fiorentina and Selva di Cadore, i.e. coming from Cortina or Alleghe.
  • From the south-west via Passo Duran: from Agordo.

In winter, winter tyres or snow chains are compulsory. The passes may be closed for short periods after heavy snowfall.
